Vettavalam is a town panchayat, approximately 50000 people may live.Here is a famous shrine in the name of st.joseph,located on the top of the hills , its around 200 years old.This was built by Fr. Tharas from France for the people of Vettavalam who were suffering a lot, from various diseases , he prayed to st.joseph for the healing , at once the people relieved from their sickness, so in his name he built the shrine. .

I was born in vettavalam only its nice place i luv to live here the famous Marahatha lingam was in vettavalam over all the its only 7 we're having 1in vettavalam and the famous shivan temple in this place such a nice place and also its developing area...
