Very rude staff. We didn’t stay there because while enquiring only he was very rude and insulting .

Awesome atmosphere and very nice treatment by their care takers.

Do not visit even if Covid is eradicatednnAfter 6-7 months of complete lockdown, my wife and I decided to travel to the beautiful state of Uttarakhand as mountains are our favourite destination. Our first stop was Chopta where we planned to go for Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek. We decided to stay in one of the camps set near the trekking route and chose CHOPTA MEADOWS HERITAGE CAMP.nnWe reached a bit late (around 9.30pm) and was immediately shown to our tent.nnI was taken aback seeing the condition of the tent and the washroom. It was arranged, yes, but everything was too dirty to touch. The had opened up business but didn’t even bother to clean the sheets, towel, soap tray, pillow covers or the blankets. After 10 minutes of rigorously spraying everything with anti-bacterial spray, I was too exhausted to spray any more.nnHalf-used soap in the washroom repelled me. My husband requested a change of the tents but that wasn’t met either. We had to place our own towels and clothes on the pillows so at least our head was on clean surfaces.nnWhen we returned and complained to the owner, first, he refused to acknowledge our booking at all. After we sent him screenshots of his own whatsapp chats and mail thread, he believed us. He offered to refund our ₹5600/- within 48 hours but of course that didn’t happen.nnWe visited around 6 places after that and found the situation much better at other properties. Only this camp, among all that we stayed in, was unspeakably horrible. It’s as if they simply didn’t care about Covid. Please don’t stay here. Or even if you do plan to, do NOT book in advance. Go and check the condition of the tents and then decide for yourself.
