It's a good school.... I completed my study here.

I joined this school when I was in third grade. One of the attractions for my parents was that Navyug Vidhayalay school was planning to start teaching English starting 8th grade. Even though we had to walk a longer distance, a decision was made to for me to attend this school. I moved up from free education school system to this school where my parents had to pay monthly fees and it was big expense for them. They gladly did it. I leaned a lot from teachers. We had opportunity to play and learn. I had opportunity to take some special classes (special mathematics) when it came to 11th grade in high school. I made lots of good friends. I had no trouble getting admission at one of the best universities in Bombay (R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics).nnAfter I moved to USA, I visited Porbandar after 35 years. I had a chance to visit the campus with my daughter on 2009 and met with the principal. A very nice and kind gentleman with good heart and cares for the school. It was a pleasure to meet with him. I was in town for one day. Love to meet more of the school friends that I have lost touch. I know few of friends and they are very happy and doing well.nnWe had morning prayers for the morning school. I enjoyed the year-end ceremony where the head master called out the names of the students who were ranked at the top of the class each year and recognized those students.nnThe school served it purpose to provide education and skills I needed for the next steps in my life. Rest we learned and did what we had to do to make progress in life. The play ground was big enough for students to play. Now the school has built a Computer class for students to learn computer. A welcome addition to the school and for students to learn computer skills.
