If you compare the place with the old photos you see that it has a wonderful change happended through the last four or five years. Above the small hills,The temple lies. A temple pond is situated at the downhill. Idol of Venkateswara moorthi with Sridevi and Bhoodevi is placed at the simhasan looking east. The temple also have a small playing ground near it. Festival season between April May attracts more people to thazhathangady. Ganesholsav during August September is fully organised by children. Navratri nights are celebrated by all. Last August, When great floods attacked western Kottayam,GSBs of thazhathangady made food and hot water at the temple kitchen for nearest relief camps.The Great Banyan tree at the temple calls us to sit at its lap refreshed by fresh air. Besides Venkatesh,Ganesh, Mahalakshmi,Hanuman,Garuda,and the Naga idols in the temple flows their Chaitanya towards the Bakthas. Tulsi plant at the east lies in shelter. Mango treee and flower plants are beside the stage for festival cultural programmes. The temple also have small agriculture at its place.
