This place is good for learning. It's just that the campus is not spacious enough when compared to other colleges. Lot of improvements have been done in infrastructure till now and I hope more are yet to come.

Admission : Central Allottment process (CAP) in accordance with your marks, category and preferences. No management or other similar quota. Economical fee structure,location (Nagpur), the presence of budding MIHAN of Nagpur around the campus and the tag of a state Government institute are key factors to be noted for choice.nnAcademics: GCOEN isn't autonomous and follows the guidelines issued by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) for the course curriculum and exams. GCOEN has 5 branches: Civil,Computer Science,Electrical,Electronics and Telecommunication and Mechanical.Several guest lectures, workshops, seminars and industrial visits are conducted and organised throughout the academic year.nnFaculty: GCOEN is a prestigious government institute, most of the professors and assistant professors are PhD holders or the merits from civil services examination. The HODs are appointed from other old govt colleges in Maharashtra.Respected Principal Sir is also great with his qualifications and oratory skills.nnGCOEN has a Training and Placement Cell which is headed by Dr Athaole. In its Pioneer batch, GCOEN witnessed the placement of about 50-60% students from all the branches with the highest package offered being 8 LPA(CSE).Average package was 3.5-4 LPA.nnOther than academics, the college has various hobby clubs. GCOEN also boasts of techfest namely ADHYAYA and an annual cultural fest ORANZ. Annual sports week is also observed within the campus.nnFee structure: For General category, the fee is approx ₹25000 and for other categories it is ₹12000 with additional ₹2500 as exam fees (to the university) per semester. The mode of payments accepted by the college is POS, UPI or online payment via the college website.nnAccomodation: GCOEN has a girls hostel and a separate boys hostel within the campus. Both the buildings have apt security and provide all the basic facilities. Hostel accommodation at GCOEN costs around ₹2500 annualy and Mess at around ₹1800 per month.nnThe students are friendly and have a good sense and awareness when it comes to show the tolerance with respect to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. Casual Parties independently hosted by students witnesses equal participation by every gender. Friendly environment. Students accept cultural and other diversities.nnScholarships:The administration encourages students to apply for scholarship schemes and avail benefits annually under the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) Scheme of Maharashtra Govt.nnSeniors and ragging: Everyone is entitled to their own behavior so it can't be generalized. But mostly, they are nice. The campus is one hundred percent ragging free with respect to my personal experience.nnVerdict: Overall, it is a good college looking at the fee structure and the facilities it offers. I can recommend learning in the college if you are not tempted towards a scenic and spacious campus. Year by year, the college seems to make exponential progress with the campus infrastructure, the labs and the quality of academics.
