one of the best departments of Guwahati University. It is the only department in the university which have a smart classroom. The computer lab and internet here is upto the mark. Most of the faculty members are very experienced.

I did my post graduation here. And I'd say this was the best department in my 19 years of official educational life starting from class 1. I have found a deep belongingness. The faculties are the best here; as a teacher as well as a human being. They taught us well, they guided us well, they supported us well. And I'd say the best thing among all about this department is the present HOD, Prof M P Bora. He is a man to the ground (MIT passed, believe me). The way he teaches physics and the way he supports the students, I can't describe in words...! Finally I'd say it is one of the best places to do post grad in Physics in North East. And if you want to opt for Astrophysics and Cosmology as specialization, then you can definitely join this department.

I was a post graduate of this department of the esteemed Gauhati University and hence from my experience i can say its undoubtedly one of the finest places to study physics in the north eastern area. This place is so near to my heart ud83dudc9c
