It is a Temple of 'Maa Olaichandi'. This temple is very popular among the local peoples of Becharhat colony & the peoples of the village Becharhat. Every year this murti is worshipped in a fixed bengali date ( 10th josti). There is also a 'Siv linga' which is worshipped in Sivratri.

This temple is of around 117 years old. It is heard that the temple was by the side of the river Bahula. Though the Bahula river has changed its path but our holly temple is still in the same place. The river Bahula gave us one memorendum that is a pond just behind our holy mother's temple. The pond is named as Dai Pukur. Every year on 10 th Jaista (as per Bengali calender) on or after 20 th May we are celebrating the annual Olaichandi puja. Around 5000 pilgrims use to engage themseves throughout the day in various customs like Ghot fill Up , Dhondi Khata,Fruits Boli,Dhuno,Batasa Distribution,and finally Pata Boli. They break their fast after completion of Puja at around 0700 pm. Dailay Puja at 1100 AM and Arati at 0620 PM is our tentative schedule.
