I came on Saturday to sent some suvenirs for my friends. I came to the window asking if they have envelopes the woman sitting there did not react at me at all. Only man asked what i wanted. I replied that first of all i need envelopes. He sent me to the shop nearby.Shop was ok they helped me. Then again i came back to post office window asking if they have post signs and pen to write an adress. Woman did not react again. Man asked me if I need to sent smth important. And finally it appeared that they were closed!. Even tough it was written that they are open! Of course i did not sent my letters. Such a mess.

They watched me struggle to find a box and finally tape up my package (the shop is ridiculous and staff are rude) for nearly an hour before telling me I have to go to a tailor to have my package stitched around, the nearest one being a 20 minute walk away. The man who used to do it there resigned apparently. Then they said they close at 1pm! So couldn't post my package which was now box shaped and hard to carry.

Pack your stuff at the general store right next to it and then mail at the post office. Cost about $25 USD to mail a decent sized box to California. I don't remember the exact weight. The guy will sew a bag around your box. Good place, but have patience.

Excellent and helpful staff and the shop next door also did me 16 passport photos for 100 rupees and has also also sorts of supplies, visiting there again for everything I need!
