Yavteshwar Mahadev Temple

Beautiful Yavteshwar Mahadev Mandir, built by the Gaikwad King of Vadodara. The mandir is more than two hundred years old. The mandir is as situated on the bank of the Viswamitri River. On the backside of the mandir is are steps that lead to the river. Calm and serene place to visit.

This is 200 years old temple and belongs to Gaekwad period. Very beautiful, but after conservation and renovation they have painted the temple which hides it's original stone texture!nThere is a beautiful vav(stepwell) behind the temple, which is not on the map also, the name of the vav is Sayaji Vav ! And near the temple there is Vishwamitri ghaats. We need to revive this place as a whole.

Beside this temple there is also a ancient temple exactly on the bank of river Vishwamitri. To reach there, step down on stairs from AMAR Maruti show room side.nAfter reaching there you can see the golfen days of past of Vishwamitri and it's bank. Right now it is the place of garbage thrown from KALA Ghoda bridge by Barodians.
