Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan College of Teacher Education

The College of Teacher Education owned and operated successfully by the Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan, a registered charitable society, is located at the border of Palakkad town, along the right side of the State highway to Shoranur and the College comes under Pirayiri Panchayat. The College aims at hatching efficient teachers fit to cope with the fast developing technologies of education and to induce adequate knowledge & courage so as enable to flow along the new generation. It is kown that the college which is approved by the Indian National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and stands affiliated to the Calicut University of Kerala State is a rule-abiding Institution and that no donotion is levied except the fees fixed by gov from time to time. The Institute which took birth as a B Ed college in 2008 is offering B Ed course for 100 students (would be teachers) every year. There are facilities for conducting internship in more than 15 selected schools.nIt is given to understand that the College has in possession almost all teaching aids including visual media. Extracurricular activities such as physical education, certain sports & games also form part of teaching. Acts of charities such as supply of food packets & dresses to the poor &sick persons, blood donation, possible financial aid to other needy Charitable Institutions, Scholarship to the deserving students etc are a few examples. Frequent workshops, seminars and various awareness programmes which have relevance in the day-today life are also held.nThe College has constituted several internal Committees in obedience to gov/University orders with a view to maintain a peaceful, loving and memorable experience to the students hailing from various walks of life.nBharatheeya Vidya Nikethan, a Self Financing Institution/Society, has intentions to widen its activities in the field of education in the near future within the pretty-large campus available there.
