Lord Birupakhya Temple is Onone of the most famous Lord Shiv Temple in Odisha. There are Three Shiv Linga's such as Lord Birupakhya, Lord Anandeswar and Lord Jogeswar called as Trishambhu situated at Chakapad,Kandhamal. Chakapad and Kandhamal Nurtured with natures scenic beauty.. The Ghat roads and also the Ashram School made by Late Laxmanananda Saraswati Ji makes the place more attractive.

during kartik masa there is lots of devotees comes here for do he rituals . parking facility available there is no lodging facility in this area. there is a story behind this temple is when ravan taking shiv ling to lanka (sri lanka ) , lord ganesh make him leave the shiv ling on the ground and ster doing so the shiv ling didnt move a bit after that. but ravan tried to take shiv ling with forcefully but can't so the shiv ling is tilt a lil . so the shiv ling in the temple tilted and so trees are.
