It is a sub post office offering only fewer services. You can post a letter or a parcel via speed post but it doesn't has letter distribution facility. You can also open Savings, RD, and FD accounts under different schemes. I visited to enquire something, i found behavior of a staff helpful. They are upgrading old methods into modern. Now you can withdraw money from any non-home branch (under imposition of certain cap).

They dont bother how much time you have waited and do the work very very slowly.nIt takes almost 10 minutes for to register one speed post or a registered post
