They started this temple in the early 2000s .They gain popularity and money by the karyasiddhi (wish fulfilment ) pooja (just pay 21rs as a fee they will give you one rupee coin back with lots of red colour powder (kunkumam) you have to do this pooja for 21 times for your wish fulfilment .Day in day out ,year in year out the temple got rich .They then invested the money in Engineering college business .Now you can see college bus (VKCET) parked near temple ground .Other temples in kollam district followed the same business technique in different version some of them succeeded most of them failed.
