Dzükou Valley Trek

This place is, without a doubt, a heaven on earth.nnThis is in Kohima, Nagaland.nTo reach the summit, you'll have to walk for almost 4 to 5 hrs uphill... and again 4 to 5 hrs to return.nThere are two ways to reach there... one is vishwema and the other one is zakhama.nOne of the two ways is a little rough with stones and is jungle like, while the other is full of stairs..nnEither of the ways is difficult ud83dude01ud83dude01ud83dude01nnIt's extremely cold in there in any time of the month so I would recommend you to take your own blankets (for hygiene) and I doubt you'll get enough good and clean blankets there.nnTake your own bottle of water while trekking and carry some dry and energy yielding take away food also.nnThere are few guests house and a dormitory which you can rent.. there will be people there to provide you food which of course has to be paid.nnYou can carry few things that you can cook there as woods will be available.. my group has carried chicken and rice so we cooked for ourselves, and cup noodles for breakfast.nCarry a small emergency lamp AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR POWER BANK..as there is no electricity out there.nnPreferably go with a group of friends.. like a group of 10 atleast..nnIf you go during winters, you'll see that the whole river will be frozen.nnAnd go during spring to have the most beautiful view with the flowers blooming i.e April or May.nnTrust me! You'll never regret this trip and this will definitely be an experience of a lifetime.

Dzokou valley trek is my first trek in my life .I enjoyed each and every minute of it. You have to trek for 11 kms steep where you reach Manipur-Nagaland borders in hilltop ,then next 7-8 kms parallel walk beside Valley .Care has to take when you trek because one wrong step,you will be in rolling into valley.You will get to see heavenly views with greenary everywhere.Raincoar is a must if u trek here.Overall you will get lifetime memories if u go with friends .
