JIPMER is an Institute of National Importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital that is under the direct administrative control of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India with autonomy to run its internal administration.

As a hospital it is good ....but while coming to the process of recruitment i can give 3/5 only as i have attended for ldc skill test today i felt so much disappointed as it was not done with a proper plan as we went there At 8:30 am and waited for 5 hrs to get my slot....they didn't offer even a cup of tea for the candidates during that time they offered it after the completion of the exam ......they did not provide any locker facility to deposit mobiles the staff behaviour with the candidates was not good....

One of the best place in India to study Medical graduation and post graduation.nInnovative teaching methodology kept this institution in top class training in India.nThis institution also provides Medical teacher training which is authorized by Medical Council Of India. JIPMER Academic Center block constitutes anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, Academic wing, examination wing, Medical teaching, few examination halls, class rooms and a mini auditorium.
