Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple

I don't have words to define this place. Har Har Mahadev

5 star rating is still less for this place considering that it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India. However the arrangements at the temple are extremely poor. As of 24th August 2020, there is not even a place to keep your belongings safely. You have to keep it at one of those private shops, and they try to sell you a lot of things that you don't want to buy. Apart from that, there is no space to sit in the temple area for some time and meditate. Pandits at the temple keep requesting you to give large sums of money as donations for this or that which, I feel, is wrong. The purpose of visiting a Jyotirlinga is not just to give some donations and ask for the well-being of your family, but it is to sit in the presence of the energized Linga and meditate for as long as you can. There are no arrangements to do that right now. Also I feel a devotee should donate based on his/her wish, and should not be pushed to give large sums of money. There is some construction going on at the temple to extend its courtyard which is a great thing. Hopefully after it is completely constructed it will be easier for visitors like me.nnLooking forward to see positive changes when I visit Shri Baba Vishwanath next time. Jai Baba Vishwanath!

But you will get lockers over there to keep at any local shops near the temple.

The temple in my neighborhood is a great place. It plays quite a significant role in almost everyone’s life. Early in the morning its speakers emit the holy hymns that not only remind the listeners of God, but also encourage them to lead a righteous and good life.nMany people go to it to bow to God and take His blessings. This keeps them healthy, hopeful and happy. During festivals it is the center of activity. It is decorated and again a large number of devotees go there to worship and thank God for giving them the gift of life.nIts presence in the locality gives all the residents hope, courage, strength, and right direction. I love the temple in my neighborhood.
