Dealer quoted between $150 to 220 per car key. Brought my own flip keys. They cut both keys; programmed both keys without having to hookup to the car's system which would have been an additional $50 fee; and added a key battery. Quoted $130 to $150...actual $90 out the door with 2 new car keys! Total time was approximately 30 minutes at the most! If you are intelligent, wise and thrifty... this is the place to go for your locksmith needs!

A few months ago I was in the unfortunate position that my car key was worn down to the point of not working in my ignition and it was my only key! So I had to find a locksmith to contact GM for a special code to cut a new key based on the code, instead of an already existing copy. As awful as this situation was, I was impressed with the helpful, friendly staff at Minnesota Locks. They were personable, warm, and (thank heavens) efficient. But I would say, if you have a situation like mine, I recommend calling ahead of time so you know the paperwork and what-not you’ll need. I did this, and it made the process very smooth.

The best!! Walked in and out in only a few minutes! I called around to tons of other locksmiths in the area trying to find someone who’d copy the key for my 2006 Dodge Sprinter and none could do it, except the dealership who charged 10x what he did (the dealer quoted for a remote, I just needed a key). I don’t leave reviews often but this place deserves it!
