One of the most breath taking Station on Central Railways. It’s a very small station basically built for railway employees who are deployed there to ensure smooth functioning of train operations in ghat section.

Budhni, also spelled Budni or Budgani, is a town and a Nagar Palika in Sehore district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated on Bhopal to Hoshangabad road at a distance of 7 km from Hoshangabad in north direction on the banks of Narmada River.

Midghat is a small and beautiful railway station on the midst of a hilly terrain. This is a section where up and down track come parallel to each other up track is under a tunnel while the down track is open. There is a abandoned track as well that is elevated to about 45 degrees. Its said this was used to test the brakes long ago. Midgnat is also famous for trekking during monsoon - there is a beautiful trekking route from midghat to the nearest budhni railway station.
