One of the biggest instatute in maghalaya near of guwahati khanapara. The Regional Institute of Science & Technology (RIST) was established in 2009 by the Erd Foundation (a charitable trust). It is a technical college in the north eastern region of India. The college and courses are recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to The North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya.The Regional Institute of Science & Technology was set up to cater to the needs for technical manpower in the north eastern region of the country.

I am an ex student of this college. This is my college. This college transformed me into a good Civil Engineer. I am a govt. employee now. In Our batch almost 80% are govt. employee now. We got good teachers.nAnd again, if you are capable,you will excel in any college irrespective of govt or private.
