Being there's a unique experience. The deity resides in the sanctum sanctorum which is in the basement and a very narrow staircase leads to it. If you are not curious you may just miss it too as this passage is not visible from the ground floor and the priests there are not keen to guide you. And the sanctum sanctorum not big enough for more than four people. But the statue is awe inspiring. If you go there spend a few moments looking at its posture and expression.

Oldest temple in Bijapur near to Adil shah Sangeeta mahal. Laxmi temple is also near by. Here it is a belief that Kumar Valmiki wrote Ramaya in kannada The temple is normally crowded on Saturdays.
