I had the pleasure of dealing with these guys on Monday! Great service, patient and knowledgable. Had to get my work car key cut as I had run over the market key. They provided me with an after market key at a reasonable price, they were efficient and did a great job! Would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you SPL locksmith for such amazing work that was done on the same day as I called and made my life so much easier. 100% happy with the work(replace privacy locks and install new patio bolt locks). Jonathan and Brody are the guys I highly recommend as they are friendly orientated, precise, efficient, and professional with what they do! On top of that they even helped me reattached my child fence which pulled off by my 2 year old, totally saved me from more potential disasters. Love SPL locksmith, honestly you couldn’t find better locksmith on the Gold Coast!

Not right, I would never use these people again, lies and not professional. I had locked myself out, I called around 9.15pm he (James) said he had jobs and would be at least another 2 hours, I accepted that it as it was a Friday night. I don't know what time he arrived 11 or so. He tried with the clicking into the key lock (whatever that's called), but my neighbours interrupted asking what all the noise was about so I gather he didn't want to persist too much longer, but maybe inexperienced or what, I don't know, (I have to say I had locked myself out once before and the then locksmith got me in eventually, but it did take a while) so he said he'll have to drill the lock out. I asked about price it wasn't costing more to do it he said, so he puts in a new cylinder (and handle?) sprayed the latch with WD 40, and gives me 2 keys. I did say I needed to go to the bathroom before he left as it was around 12.30am or after by this time. He said he needed to check the keys worked which he did, and left. After he left I tried to open my door and couldn't open it, so I called him, he was driving it was around 1am, I said I don't expect you to come back tonight, but I can't open my door, he said It was my fault it I kicked him out and that it was too late to return, I tried to keep calm, but I said I never kicked you out, and told him that if he had said he still needed to check it I would have been fine, also as I said, I didn't expect him to come back that night as it was around 1am. I paid $160 on credit card. So the next day I had to call him, he said he was waiting for my call, he didn't have my number, that was true, I'd used a shops phone as I'd been shopping (live in the heart of Surfers and walk to the shops) and didn't take my mobile (and keys). So he turns up, could push the door open from the outside but tells me he would need to change the latch as it had rusted that was the issue, but as I explained to him, it was working fine before changing the handle and lock, so that didn't make sense, even if rusted, so I asked how much, he said he wouldn't charge for labour but charged $90 for replacing it. Anyhow, I thought ok, he said I could claim through Strata (for the latch at least) and would send a receipt. Today I called as I'd not received a receipt (it was a few weeks ago), I spoke to a someone eventually, he supposedly spoke to James. The guy tells me I got a good deal, (after trying to decipher what this fellow was trying to say) I figured out he was telling me the $160 paid in the evening was supposedly just to open my door, I wasn't charged for the second hand lock and keys, as apparently I didn't have enough money, also, that I only paid for the latch the next day, and no call out fee. Well I lost it, I asked how long James had worked there as he has told a few lies, 1st) I never kicked him out 2) He told me when he drilled the lock out and I asked how much he said it was no extra cost 3) Money was no issue, and not discussed about me not having money to pay, that was just so untrue (as well as the other points). Then to top it off, to be told TODAY he used a second hand lock on my door without disclosing it to me at the time !!!!! The funny thing is the lock from within doesn't lock smoothly so something still isn't right, I have to fiddle with it to get it to lock. Also, I was going to get a couple of extra keys cut there, he did say when he changed my lock, that if I went to their premises I wouldn't be charged, but I don't drive so have put off doing it, but unfortunately after losing my temper on the phone today that won't be happening. Also, he didn't ask for my details to send the receipt, but at the time he said he did work for our apartment buildings, so I gathered he knew where to post it or would drop it off in my post box here. Overall just not right, I'm so beside myself over the whole situation, even if the cost was supposedly reasonable, he didn't inform me of using a second hand lock, or disclose a supposed discounted cost for it, and lied over issues. Unprofessional !!!

Be careful with these company. Avoid SPL Locksmiths if you can.nIt is very sad to see a company getting lost in its bureaucracy and excessive procedures because it grew so big. They simply dont trust in the common sense of their staff.nI needed to cut two keys to give them to a plumber that was going to work late on the property I am leasing. And I have cut the same key with them two months ago. I had the lease agreement of a property and the managers sent them a letter authorizing that I made some copies. But they decided not to make any key for me because my name is not on a list. I talked to the manager and they just repeated the same song.nnTherefore, I called another local locksmith and solved my problem in one minute.nIt is sad that the managers and staff members are just puppets of a bureaucracy. That is how you waste your staff potential to be productive. And that’s how big companies fail to compete small and more dynamic ones.nI do not recommend it. Avoid it if you can.

It isn't possible to actually review the service provided by SPL as they were unable to provide it - despite having quoted the job and enticed me to the showroom with the promise of completing the task within half an hour. And it is not as though SPL's ineptitude was in any way ameliorated by the customer service, which is best described as contemptuous.
