Samshawn mean the funeral place and Goddess who takes the care of a funeral is called Samshwan Kali in Hindu mythology. This Kali temple is the original and oldest Kali temple in this area, but the same will be shifted to the new structure which is a big one and at present it is under construction. People from all over come to this temple to worship the Goddess in the evening. There is a fixed purohit (Pandit) to perform the rituals. It is a very powerful temple of Goddess Kali.
