The Department of Earth Sciences is one of the leading departments in the University engaged in high-quality multi-disciplinary teaching, research and consultancy in the field of Earth Sciences. It was established in the year 2000 and during the short span of about 18 years, the department has become one of the foremost Centers of teaching, research, and consultancy in the University. The main strength of the department is an amalgamation of three major divisions of Earth Sciences: Geology, Geophysics, and Geoinformatics under one umbrella.
