The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanya, Lord Krishna, Nagas, Hanuman Swami, Navagrahas, Sasthavas, Rakshas and Ganapathi. The temple is maintained by the Archeological Department and is under the control of the respected Kozhikode district police chief. The temple is believed to have been built during the 13th-13th century. The two archaeological remains that may have been damaged in the attack are the inscriptions found in Tamil script and language written by the Tamil company officials on their offerings to the temple.
