Shri Vishalakshi Mata Shaktipeeth Temple, Kashi

Vishalakshi Devi is Laxmi,a consort of lord Vishnu for prosperity.The temple is very popular in Varanasi It is situated in a narrow lane near Meer Ghat.nIt is located on South East of the Sree Vishwanath temple. It is too much beautiful. It is also too much attractive. It attracts peoples with it's own beauty. From the front gate of the temple a huge murti is there inside the temple.nMany peoples gathered there to see the temple and pray to Vishalakshi Devi. But basically more peoples come from the southern part of the India. Basically Andra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka.

Easy way to go to Visalakshi Temple, Varanasi is through Gate No.2, then first right and a walk through authentic Banaras gallies around half a kilometre (500 meters). Can get the help of localities (shopkeepers) in reaching the Temple, who are always ready for serving the Pilgrims. Main thing to be noted is that the Sawayambhu (Main Deity) lies behind the front Idol, do not forget to see it. Varahi Temple (Grama Devata of Kasi) is very much nearer to this temple.

Feeling blessed that I got to visit this temple very nice place and upon that it's a shakti pith where Mata sati earings have fallen, the name of this devi mata is vishalakshi mata and annapurna mata so annapurna means (always providing food) so there is a prasadalay where you can eat food as Devi mata Prasad that means whoever come to visit her no one goes empty stomach. The real idol of Devi mata and temple is fully of gold and that temple opens only 3 to 4 days a year. There is a replica of real idol where you can pray and take the Prasad.

Must visit if you visit Varanasi/Kasi. It's like normal temple like any other temple. Don't need to keep phones or luggage outside in a locker. Avoid local guide.

Not famous as the main temple. Famous among few South Indians.
