Nice place. Calm and windy. It's a good outing spot to go with family or friends, don't exist it to be mesmerising, it's good and calm, close to nature. The view is beautiful and the winds are amazing. Less than 100 km from mysore make its easily drivable and few close by places are also attractive. K gudi is must visit if you visit BR Hills. Can spend like 1 to 1:30 hour in this place not more than that.
