This is a well maintained trek, viewpoint & temple atop the hill. There's a per head entry fee at the entrance & extra for parking, but the entire place is very well managed. Kids cannot trek beyond the temple as at the end, to get to the viewpoint, there are very steep, slippery steps involved. It's also very close to Bangalore, in the Mysore highway. Just be careful while using Google maps as we were shown a shortcut, and had a terrible experience. We got directed to areas without roads & dangerous paths. Just stick to main roads while navigation.
