I visited Vaatalya during Holi 2020 just before the lockdown was announced and this makes my trip extra special. I am glad I chose to spend my last vacation before the lockdown there.nLocated on a hilltop and run by a loving family Vaatalya is just want to need to reset your mind, body and soul.nThe place has a positive and calm vibe to it. The view is unmatched. With snow capped peaks on one side and the view of a large water body on the other. I also happened to witness the supermoon which was surreal.nI am not going to talk about the room or the food because that is not the highlight of the this place ( of course both are good) but how you feel when you are at Vaatayla is what sets it aside. You feel in perfect harmony with nature. The hosts are loving and warm people and you can talk to them about natural living, spirituality, travel, life and ofcourse food.nYou can spend your days taking lesuirely walks around in the forests ofrjust spend the day reading a book basking in the sun.nBeing a sustainable living enthusiast I had many fulfilling conversations with the host.nThe hosts have build this place with a lot of love and hardwork and it shows.nThis is not your average hotel in the hills but a place where you can go truly unwind, rest and probably find answers to some of your life questions.nI will surely be seeing more of Vaatalya in the future.
