Excellent selection of wine, both white and red, especially merlot. Nice place to taste wine before buying.

Marvellous Tuscan wines produced with grapes from organic agriculture. Apprecied it. Thanks.

Charming place, comfortable rooms, a bit spartan kitchen and bathrooms

Stella: The Tomtom had no idea where it was, make sure you don't miss the road to Gello, otherwise you will drive 30 minutes on a winding 2-way 2-way unpaved forest path; dead in the dark! People from the farm / apartment are cordial, that does not make up for the old dirty shower. You drive through the village itself in 2 seconds, there is little to do / experience. Apartment is terribly noisy, when you are in bed you hear the neighbors just talking. Design simple, basic = help. If you like the countryside: (seen wild boar!): Good base to visit Pisa, Florence, Volterra and Cecina (beach). Rome is 3.5 hours away. Tuscany is beautiful and definitely worth repeating, but next time we will go for a good hotel. Pieter: In the middle of nowhere! It is impossible to find without navigation and you have to love driving through the mountains. It suffocates with insects. The standard mosquito nets are very nice but don't stop everything. Initially in a "cheap" 1-room apartment. We knew it said there was a sofa / bed. I naively thought that there was also a bed, but not a problem in itself. A problem: the sofa / bed was very old and empty so that you could feel all the iron bars. Hellish back pains after 1 night! The owner could understand it and called it "horrible" and we got a larger and more expensive stay with real bed. Not great yet, but slept wonderfully in comparison. We would stay a week by car, but left earlier. Little view, NO TV, ice cold pool, NOT for kids, no couch, no microwave.
