I state: undoubtedly quality food. However, we paid 108 euros in two for two beers, "a mixed appetizer" and two slices of fresh fish of the day, it seems an exaggeration for a Tuesday in Acicastello, even in New York I have always paid less ... We arrived and asked for a "mixed starter", which was typical of the old management, of which I was a regular customer. The first waiter takes note and goes away, the second waiter takes note, asks some generic questions and goes away too, shortly afterwards a woman, the manager or more likely the owner herself, shows up. Does the manager bother the manager for a mixed appetizer? Really? Unusual I would say ... He stormed us with questions, he seemed to want to sell us the Ionian Sea ... We understand that they don't have a mixed starter on the menu and that the manager herself is tailoring it for us. The courses of this blessed appetizer begin to arrive, good for charity but too many, the waiters fill the table with dishes and hardly give us time to finish, hastily pulling away the dishes to serve others. After several dishes, tasty, but which we were unable to thoroughly enjoy due to the eagerness of the waiters to clear the table, the Gargantuan "appetizer" was finished and the main course arrived. Two slices of fresh capone of the day, really good, but limited in quantity, looking at the receipt we would later sadly realize how it had been priced for a kilo or so of fish. The diameter of the two slices did not seem to have much to do with the tiny head of fish that was on the plate, the fresh fish should be shown to customers in its entirety before cooking, allowing the guest to evaluate its freshness and weight. We left with a hundred less, and the bitter impression that the appetizer was nothing more than a long list of full-price dishes mischievously put together to reach over one hundred euros in the final bill. Ultimately we give one star for transparency and fairness and four abundant stars for quality. To the dear lady manager If a customer asks for a mixed starter it doesn't mean they want 8 full price starters, keep that in mind for the future.

We ordered, in 5 people, 3 plates of appetizers (recommended by those who took the order ...) to share before ordering the first courses: well, 3 dishes per type of appetizer arrived at the table and, as you can deduce, the price has therefore skyrocketed: € .53.40 per person, including 4 glasses of wine, 3 bottles of water and 4 pieces of cake! It seems that what was ordered was misrepresented (voluntarily? ...) with what was then brought to the table! Good food, no doubt, but very high bill, extremely disproportionate to what we had undoubtedly ordered! I leave to those who read me the discretion of evaluating what happened. For such a sum we would have had to order a complete appetizer, a first and second course, including sweet coffee and amaro, for each of us! Having made our complaints directly to the owner (who revealed, in a whisper, that a mistake had been made and apologized for it ... but the bill still remained € .267,00! ...), clearly politely, and told him that we would never return and that we would recommend the place to anyone! I find it absolutely in bad taste to play on misunderstandings and, consequently, with the wallets of others: others, that is, us, who try to keep the Sicilian economy a little higher with a small contribution to small companies! But be fooled, no: I do not allow anyone!

Price quality the worst restaurant in the area. Let's take a dish of warm sea and roasted octopus. Apart from the anxiety of seeing these 3 young waiters walking back and forth continuously (we were only two customers) my octopus was definitely hard (I fly over the potatoes and onions present together in the menu when the dish arrived served on a bed of cabbage hood) even what looked like a squid in my husband's plate I had to chew it for a long time, paid the bill I kindly point it out to the "owner" (in my house the observations improve) replies that fresh is like this. Well for almost 40euro two courses of gummy fish and water with hindsight I would have avoided them. A lovely seaside resort, a real shame
