Restaurant terribly understaffed. The only waiter was clearly under stress. After 20 minutes of waiting (from 21.30 to 21.50) without the waiter giving us the menu we decided to leave. At that point the waiter finally noticed us and screamed a "thank you!" at our backs. Tables were very close to each other, with 0 social distancing norms. I cannot comment on food.

Terrible service: there were 3 tables with people and it took over 20min to get our order. That is, when I got up and asked the waiter to come to our table. After the complaint they were a bit quicker with the food but we had to remind him of a bottle of water 4x over the dinner. Terrible food: mistakenly brought white wine instead of rose. Not a problem, he took it back and brought a “rose”... literally a half white half red wine mixed at the bar and it tasted of vinegar. We kindly asked for a closed rose bottle instead. Also, the sword fish and tuna were not fresh, they were frozen. There are MANY better options in Tropea for even cheaper. I would consider other places.

My husband and I have traveled extensively through Italy, and this is the first negative review I have posted of a restaurant. Beware, I was served tuna that was inedible. After we both tried to eat it and couldn't we politely and quietly told the server. They would only say it was fresh from the sea, as if directly asking us to tell them their chef must not know how to cook?! Then we were charged for it! This, after we hadn't ordered tuna to begin with, it was offered as replacement for the swordfish we originally ordered. This on top of being told we were wrong for wanting parmesan for our pasta, which they also didn't have. We went during normal dinner hours, arriving at 9, just to keep this in context. DO NOT GO! BE WARNED!
