A gem of a restaurant, authentic and rustic. Delicious Sicilian food and wine, great service, just what we wanted! Would definitely return

Theme Restaurant, that ranks well on all factors: 1. Food: fish is fresh and tasty. Staff does a good job helping with selections include the actually catch on display to choose from. Breadsticks from Torino, and local bread from bakery was not the best. 2. Ambiance: old world setting indicative of the area with Himera archeological parks across road and museum 2nd museum up the hill from restaurant. Period furniture, stonework, and artifacts, including a sunken dig site encased in glass adorn the main dining room. Seperately, an outdoor patio that is enclosed in transparent tent features many historic enlarged images of the Targa Florio car rally and race which runs right nearby the restaurant. A major turn-off is the TV on the walls of the restaurant which greatly dilute the atmosphere - ask for them to be turned off or silenced and they staff will comply because nobody is watch it anyway. 3. Prices: are only slightly higher than a restaurant of similar quality. (coporto should be waived or prices reduced by 10%) 4. Location: is convenient only to historic park, otherwise unfounded. 5. Service: professional yet not friendly, staff do not smile, and do not make small talk to make guest feel welcome.

A great stop for food and history on the Targa Florio. Seafood, pasta, and pizza are great. The mixed antipasti was super filling! There is a parking lot with plenty of room. Don't let the exterior fool you--it is gorgeous inside!

Upscale Italian restaurant on the circuit of the legendary "Florio" car race: in the porch, a rich gallery of old photos will welcome you. The interiors are rustic and elegant together: the oil collection tank, the old mill and the majolica tiles covering the floors create a suggestive ambiance. The cuisine shows character. The chef can match creativity with a great respect for the ingredients, mainly chosen from the local, rich selection of sea an land products. The menu is wide and varied, both for pasta, for meat and for fish. The wine list is rich as well. At the entrance you find a tempting fish cart, where you can choose the ingredients of your meal. Staff is very polite and professional. As for the price, you get good value for your money. Before or after your meal, you cannot but visit the archaeological area of the ancient Himera Greek temple, whose remains you can admire just across the road in front of the restaurant. Definitely recommended.
