Absolutely discouraged if you intend to dine on fish! A good location and good service do not praise a local if the food is of poor quality! We were 14 people and on the advice of the waiter we started with an appetizer of raw and warm sea (all fresh fish from the area / strait, we had said) more peppery mussels accompanied by two white wines (one still and one sparkling always recommended by him). Following are the opinions shared by all those present at the table; I state that none of us is a chef but certainly at least half can be considered a "good fork". THE RAWS: - Swordfish fillet: practically tasteless; once put in the mouth it was absolutely impossible to understand what was being eaten; - tuna tartare: the only dish of this appetizer that you save (even if I personally have eaten better ones); - Salmon fillet: smoked salmon among the poorest available at the frozen counter of a mediocre convenience store; - shrimp: without flavor. PEPPERED MUSSELS: The mussels in themselves were good; however, it lacked all the seasoning and the flavors of a peppery !! THE HOTS: - Zucchini and salmon flan: we have tasted the zucchini, and that's it; - swordfish caponata: aubergine; flavor of the swordfish not received - morsels (tuna) of tuna with caramelized onions of Tropea: the meatballs were hard, the onion was red but I had some doubt it was from Tropea and certainly they were wrong because it was not caramelized; - mixed fried fish: I only say that the rings of squid were hard and chewy almost like chewing a tire; index more than anything else that has been served of poor quality! I open a parenthesis: The hot and raw appetizer is proposed as a fixed menu at a cost of € 20 per person served with the "French indirect" method; I did not know what the indirect French service was, but I think I understood two things: - it is understood that a dish of antipasto is not brought per person, but instead a serving dish with portions for three people is served; portion per person quite small; - of indirect / to there is the rip-off (To not use vulgar terms) .... ... now, me and the other diners we would have also found ourselves willing to pay € 280 for this round of appetizers (20 € x 14 people) but only if the quality had been adequately commensurate with the expense. In this case the quality / price ratio is absolutely unacceptable! THE WINES: Still white wine was acceptable; The sparkling white that was recommended to us was rather poor quality; I asked to be given back the wine list to select another sparkling but at the time of ordering the bottle I was told that they did not have it and that they could bring back the same wine we had just consumed because it was still coming from same winery and produced with the same method as that requested by us (For some reason the recommended wine was not even mentioned in the wine list). I admit not to be a fan of whites (particularly those moved) as I prefer the reds; for the judgment I therefore entrusted my friends who knew the subject better. Probably it was true that the wine we chose had finished it .. fact is that this left me a little perplexed if we also consider that what we requested was on the list at € 14 and what was served was beaten in the receipt for € 20 For the above and considering that it had also started to rain, we decided to end our dinner and we got the bill; it was when I had the bill in my hands that I understood the second meaning of the indirect French service: € 400.00 and I stress again that this price would also be acceptable for what we ordered in 14 people but not for this quality.
