So glad we made the journey to come here - great selection of meats and excellent quality. Cooked perfectly over coals. By far the best service we’ve experienced in Italy, with attentive and helpful staff. We were one meat-eater and one vegetarian and even the veggie option (rigatoni alla norma at the time) was excellent, along with a lovely Sicilian tomato salad and local cheese board. The bread was also the best we’ve had in Italy. Great house wine too.

We visited the town on a Sunday when there were celebrations going on for the local patron. At around 21:00 we first stopped by (expecting to be waiting for the obvious circumstances), the lady dealing with the reception told us that we would probably be waiting for an hour, and she then gave us the number to call her at 22:00. Me and my girlfriend were fine with waiting an hour's time despite being a 50 minutes drive from our hotel, I would also add that the town has very little to offer in terms of entertainment. Once the deadline had reached, we called the number as suggested in hopes of being greeted shortly after. The same lady we had met an hour before simply rushed the conversation saying "I'll have you know that there are no available places left for tonight, but feel free to call us back some other day". We later had a trip to the place, as we needed to pass through the restaurant to reach the other locale that was kind enough to received us at that time... and it was clear that there were some free tables. For a client waiting for more than 60 minutes in what can be referred to as absolutely nowhere this cannot be acceptable. Would not reccomend.

Set at the base of Mt Etna this butcher shop and restaurant is worth a trip up from the shore. Famed for their meats this town doesn’t fall short of the expectation with a mind blowing offering of local wines. The fresh grilled taste of all the dishes was delicious, amazing service, excellent standard of sanitization post covid. Need to go back for the burger. Could easily eat 1130AM yo close. Bought some pancetta and local olive oils to take home. Don’t miss this one.

The flavour of the food was absolutely amazing, melt in your mouth antipasti meatboard and you could taste the love they put into the main. Only bad thing was that the price is also a bit higher for other restaurants in the region. If you are willing to pay a tiny bit more for the wonderful taste of the food, definitely go here. We recommend it.

Delicious local food, wine and experience! We chose our steak (which was then cut fresh by the butcher) and other meat selections from the counter then cooked/smoked over coals seen through the kitchen window by the chef. Complete these mains with perfectly roasted potatoes and a local veg, a bottle of Etna rosso wine. Finished off with dessert and cafe. Perfecto!!
