Skid Row (03/08/2020)
The restaurant is located in the historic center of Martina Franca a few steps from the San Martino cathedral in a side street - a bit hidden - but customers can easily find it thanks to the clearly visible signs. The restaurant has recently been renovated and is very warm and welcoming. The staff is kind and helpful and very knowledgeable. The restaurant offers a menu of local dishes but revisited in a modern key by the chef. The menu is updated according to the seasons and therefore the dishes vary according to the seasonal availability of the products. Wide assortment of appetizers, including local and national cold cuts and cheeses. Quite varied and quality wine list with a prevalence of Apulian wines. The prices are medium to high but the quality is above average. Reservations are required especially on weekends and Sunday lunchtimes. Accept almost all credit cards. In the days of greater influx of customers, the times of the service are longer and this is a problem for those who do not like to be around the table for a long time.

Beautiful location, staff present is sufficiently professional well-stocked wine list of Apulian specialties with slightly high prices. Some problems in pasta dishes with orecchiette not up to par, we have eaten better ones in unpretentious trattorias. My second, a rabbit alla cacciatora, had dried meat and a little rancid fat. Other dishes my friends liked. The appetizer of chicory and broad beans is discreet. We probably won't go back.

Minimum portions, appetizer with very few courses that arrive one every half hour in very small quantities (even appetizer x 2: 1 burratina, 1 pie .... to be done in half!). High prices compared to what it offers.

A restaurant hidden away in an alley where the food is simply excellent. We had the prawns as a starter and the tuna steaks for the main course, flawless from start to finish. The service is certainly a bit long but the game is worth the effort.
