It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hidden gem while passing through Alba. The restaurant offered a wide range of wine which would excite any wine enthusiast. The red wine wonderfully complimented the veal and the Panna Cotta was the best I've ever had. However, my company and I didn't feel like we were welcomed by the older bald waiter. His negative demeanor and attitude left a sour taste and ruined a part of what could've been, one of our greatest food experiences in Italy so far. So if you can see through the latter, I'd highly recommend a visit.

Better than I expected. The grilled squid, veal stew, and peach torte were all superb.

Authentic local cuisine and extensive wine list with reasonably priced local wines.

Went twice. First time was almost a religious experience, the food was so good. The second time was almost a monty python sketch, the staff behaved so strangely. But in all I can’t give it much less than 4 stars, because when it’s good it’s so good. When I’m next back in the area, will roll the dice again.
