From the kind people to the deliciously creative food and drink to the unique private and comfortable accommodations, our stay at The Caves for our honeymoon was an unforgettable experience. We plan to return many times in the future to this exact spot.

The whole place is set up so that you feel like you are the only people there. The social hour, rum tasting at the rum bar, and dinner are with with other vacationers but soon they become like old friends so it's still really special and semi-private. Be sure to experience a cave dinner if you can! This has been my favorite tropical vacation destination so far! Advice/Tips: Use the mosquito netting and don't take showers too late when then are hungry!! Enjoy a sunset (or two) in the pool with a frozen beverage in hand. Order dessert! Jump - even if its just from the low landing, just jump! Ask the staff - they are beyond helpful, anything you need just ask (tip them too, they deserve it).

Went down with my lady for a romantic escape. I have been to probably 15 resorts across covering a dozen islands, over the years and the Caves, by far, represents the most unique experience I have had. The village is just 13 villas carved into a cliff. The feeling is very communal, friendly and relaxed. The views are spectacular and the food excellent. I must say what further impressed us is that the staff is outstandingly attentive. We found out that the average tenure of each staff member was well over 10 years. They treat each other like family and they extend that warmth to the guests. Finally, I must recommend the private dinner in one of the caves. It was candlelit, adorned with flowers and just the perfect setting for my girlfriend and I to exchange rings! I cannot say enough about how great an experience we had. If you go, I promise you will come back. I know we will!

The wait staff is excellent, the views are gorgeous, the food is great. It's not 5 stars though. The receptionist was about the most unfriendly person to be in a position of a guest's first contact any hotel could have. There are many little things that are neglected like shutter pins so the shutters can remain closed there were brochures, screws, and a gate latch that we assume prior guests have used as improvised methods of keeping the shutters closed and all the shutters in our room had broken positioning rods. A working coffee maker with appropriately sized filters and a newer matress are all things that would go a long way in achieving 5 star quality. The landscaping personnel and snorkeling guide were also excellent. Also, a tip: if you need a taxi expect to pay double the rate if you have The Caves staff secure it for you.

Tranquility. This is not your typical resort, this is a very quiet relaxing atmosphere. They do not allow children at all. No beach. This place is set on a cliff, with multiple places to dive or jump into the ocean. The food is true to the local culture and delicious. The staff truly want everyone to have the best experience and do their best to provide that for every guest. I am very impressed and we have already talked about our return trip.
