This is a great, secluded, dark sand beach that can be found a short distance away from the Milk River Hotel and Spa on the coastal border of the parishes of Clarendon and Manchester. After turning off the highway (T1) that runs through Clarendon (heading east to Kingston or west to Manchester, St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, etc.), you drive through a series of small communities and farm lands to get to the small community of Milk River, home to the infamous Milk River Hotel and Spa, after taking a relaxing mineral bath at the historical hotel (if you so choose), continue down to Farquhars Beach where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the waters of the Caribbean Sea, or just look on as the waves crash on the beach while enjoying some of the delicious seafood from the restaurants in the community. Watch the live show of the local fisherfolk bringing in and emptying their nets, you can even join in the fun as members of the community appear out of nowhere to help to pull in the heavily-laden nets. It is a long stretch of beach which has its compliments of food outlets, that sell cool refreshing drinks, as well as offering bathroom facilities for the beach goers to utilize. The people are friendly and welcoming

Black sand beach with a view of the sunset. Serene surroundings, friendly locals and good food and vibes at the seafood restaurant there. Unique decore of the seating area is a nice enough view.

This is a BEAUTIFUL black sand beach at the edge of Clarendon. Fishermen dock thier boats on a section of the beach but you can go swimming with the family or watch the sunset. As far as I could see, the beach was free of garbage and the water, free of seaweeds which sadly excited me. I did not notice any food being sold so carry your refreshments and disposal bags.
