Miyama hut

Very welcoming and kind. Dinner was delicious! I slept very well. My favorite mountain hut!

Located right at the peak of Mt Tanzawa. They offer dinner and lunch packages for around 8000 yen. The staff is very helpful. They would ask for your next destination and inform you if the route is no longer passable. However, they only speak Japanese. Furthermore, the reservation is only thru phone call. But I think they accept walk-ins.

Beds are good for meals. The night view is not bad either. The Asahi was also beautiful. The owner of the hut politely taught me the mountain trail.

We were taken care of suddenly in winter mountain, but accepted warmly. A wolf is kind, cheerful and kind mother. The food was delicious, like a ryokan, and it was of a quality that I could not imagine on the mountain. It was made like a log house, but it was warm like a Hidamari, the futon was soft and the blanket was light and it was easy to sleep. It is a wonderful mountain hut where you will want to see the wolf again.

I do not stay. Only for lunch. I took a quiet and relaxing break in a nice space.
