Although the library has a novel design, the cloth chairs and floors in the library are white, so dirt is noticeable. It is a two-story building with many seats, but it is necessary to devise a tatami mat in the magazine corner and a slanted desk in the newspaper corner. Some staff pay close attention to users, but it is not necessary.

The layout is a little different from other libraries, so you can read books in a relaxed and calm manner, and you can find books by going to the area by the theme, so it is my favorite library ❗️ The parking lot is shared with other facilities, so be careful as it may be crowded.

It's a fashionable building and a library with a nice atmosphere that suits it. There is also a cafe, so you can feel free to visit.

A library about a kilometer from Toyosaka Station, a 10 minute walk. The design is by Tadao Ando, and I think it is a library that anyone interested in architecture can enjoy. I visited libraries all over Japan, but the arrangement of books in this library, the sight that the spine is arranged in front of the shelf and the shelf was more beautiful and impressive than any library I have visited so far . In the books and photos related to railways, I noticed that Niigata has a large collection of works by photographer Ken Domon from Sakata.
