This is a lovely shrine to visit while In Izumi. We would have stayed and enjoyed it longer, but it began to rain during our visit. The bell is rather impressive to see, though I was a little bummed that you don’t get to hear it ring. There is a lot of crane art and statues around the shrine. Definitely recommend stopping by the check it out.

Worth a quick visit to view the largest and smallest bell you may ever see at the same place. There are sometimes events but the one I visited finished at around 5pm which seemed a little early considering it was hanami season. More could be done to promote the temple to foreigners and locals.

I came from Fukuoka City to see the cranes. Hawks and Avispa in the eastern ward are also worshiped before the opening war, the god of war? I came to worship because I knew that it was Hakozaki Hachiman Shrine, which has the same name as Hakozaki Hachimangu. After all it is similar? I was impressed to know that. If you come from Fukuoka, please come visit Hakozaki Hachiman Shrine!
