About 5 minutes walk from Nishi-Kokubunji station. Magazines are also quite specialized, and it was very convenient when I lived in Kokubunji. You can also search the collection of books in the National Diet Library with one of the search terminals, but you need to go through the procedure at the counter to use it. (Even if you have an admission card for the National Diet Library like me, you need to complete the procedure because the usage time is limited.) Even on weekends, there are many high school / university students in the neighborhood, and there are many children's books in the back of the park, and there are many small children, so it may be a little lively.

First of all, go to the cafe. Order cookies for herbal tea and oatmeal. It was delicious! I was wondering if I could expect the bread of Kyonyon near Kokubunji station. The herbs are tea bags with a mixture of several types, and the taste of lemongrass was perfect on hot and humid days. The Eat-in Space was closed due to corona measures, but the outside bench was available. The essential library was a reservation system for corona measures, but there is a limit on the number of people every 2 hours, but I could enter without reservation. ‥ I like books, so I am visiting libraries here and there, but the selection of books here is very good. I think there are people who like books, but even if there are many books, there are libraries and bookstores where I can not find a good book, but on the contrary, I can find the book I want to read one after another There was a library and a bookstore, so this library was a big hit! I could only stay for 2 hours, but after a long time I had a fulfilling reading time. ‥ I would love to come back again slowly!

Tokyo Metropolitan Tama Library is located in a corner of Izumi Plaza, which was redeveloped the site of the former Railway Technical Research Institute southeast of Nishi-Kokubunji Station. Next door is the archives. Convenient with coin parking.
