While it's not as complete as Todai's general library in term of collection, this library is much better in design and facilities. The reading room is cozy and it provides study cubicles for student as well as a special room for group discussion. There are confrence room, computer room and media hall in the lower floor. Rest corner with vending machines is also available. What I like the most from this library is, it allows people to bring a drink/beverage inside the reading room. It's still limited to beverage with lid though, but at least there will be no hassle of feeling thirsty while you're studying.
I have come only once when I lived in Kashiwa. I remember it was very hot in summer, probably because of power saving. There are many ways to look like international students, and I think that here in Chiba is the University of Tokyo. I had dinner at a nearby school meal. There were many international students here as well.
