2002 Asian Games Main Stadium, Busan Sports Complex Location: 1299, Geoje 2-dong, Yeonje-gu, Busan, Korea Use: Sports Facility Site Area: 543,014m² Gross Floor Area: 94,115m² Floor: 1B, 4F Design: 1995 Completion: 2001 As part of the vision of the new millennium, the Busan Sports Complex Station was the main stadium for the World Cup and the 2002 Asian Game Competitions. Its massive facility can occupy anywhere from 56,000 to 80,000 spectators. The roof that symbolizes surging waves has become a landmark for the city of Busan. The roof covered in white cloth that allows the natural light to filter over the ceiling cables offers a bright and cozy space. At night, its interior lighting spreads out to the exterior creating another night view spectacle of Busan. The stadium has become the city’s illuminating feature coming from the crowds and the overall ambience that emits from the roof. The Busan Sports Complex Station Design stands tall with symbolic significance for its international city that draws attention from around the world through its design, skills and environment. It will become the city’s landmark and will share fame with other world-famous landmarks such as the Opera House in Sydney and the Eiffel Tower of Paris. It will become the icon of Busan for the 21st century.

Wonderful place and easy access via the Metro. There is not a bad seat, each seat has a wonderful view.

Really bad stadium for viewing football games. Watched from W36 table seats 18th row. Which is supposed to be the best in class but you still cannot see faces nor expressions of players. The track going round the stadium makes the game really far away. Any lower row than would it difficult to see the whole game. I would not recommend N or S unless you really want to be part of the cheering crowd. Theres a food stand right below the block. Tables are big and people in front are much lower so the views are not blocked from heads. Lots of food stands are at the entrance of the stadium but foods are mediocre. Canned beer were not allowed but they had cups available to put all your beer in cups before entering the stadium. E is for Kfans / N is usually for home supporters cheering crowd / S is for opposing teams cheering crowd / W is close to the team benches (premium seats are on W side).
