Nakkawita Suspension Bridge( කම්බි පාලම)

Very old Suspension bridge.Very beautiful view from the bridge. Be careful when you going on the bridge.

This is one of the brigde, which is still being used by locals, out of the available suspension bridges in Sri Lanka. Still the iron bars and cables are quiet strong. If you walk across the bridge, you can have a splendid view of the Seethawaka River which is flowing beneath the bridge. Also the scenic view of surrounding mountains add more colour to your visit. However be carefull when you are walking on this. Because in some places, the iron plates are not fixed properly. Also do not disturb the locals who use this bridge frequently, since this is the only way to their homes.

Be careful of your steps and wind direction. Do not overload or let kids go alone behind you.

Ancient type hanging bridge. Very beautiful scenery. But the access roads are not very well.
