Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Complex

Actually I'm doubt this place whether biodiversity complex or multicultural center. By the way hiking experience is good. The cleaning of inside the tower is not much.

Place was OK. Road is very steep. They charge 70rupees per adult and 200 rupees for your car. But only three wheelers in the park can go very near. Other vehicle owners have to walk more than 500 meters. Its not easy to a 70 year old person because its steep. Wash rooms are in the left side of the gate. Catholic people should pay their attention to turn the church into a beautiful holy place.

In the complex of the ambuluwawa tower (the main attraction). I don't really understand why they call it a biodiversity center. It's more like a.milti religious center that promotes harmony between the 3 main religions , Christians Muslims and Buddhists. They built a small building for each, a small church a small mosque and in the center of the two, a small Buddhist temple. The park is very quiet, well kept, and it's a good place to relax from the stress of climbing the tower.

Ambuluwawa is one of the most unique places in Sri Lanka for religious coexistence and biodiversity. When you go to the top of the mountain, the whole Gampola area looks very beautiful. It is correct to say where everyone should go.

Superb place for the hiking experience. Nice climate though. Best time to visit 1 p.m.-4.pm.
