Monara Gala Mountain (Peacock Hill) මොණරගල

Peacock hill is a very easy hike but the last 1km to the mountain is very difficult. Road is totally gravel and only one vehicle can pass at a time. Nevertheless The view from the top is picture perfect.

It is like a little world end. Have to claim the hill. Way to the top is not much difficult when compare with world end. Good view point from the top, can see the full coverage of kandy district. Safe place. During the claim, there is no facilities to water and food. So have to bring with us.

Very beautiful place. 360 view point. Easy to access you have to walk 500meetrs to the peak.

A place where you get to experience an amazing view with a very short trekking from the bottom to top. It is possible to reach the bottom of the hill if you are travellling by a motor cycle, if you take the path running close to Doragala tea factory. If using a vehicle you'll have to walk around 2km before reaching the bottom of the mountain. It was aid by locals that you could clearly witness the top of "Sripada" during night time, on a clear day from the top of the hill.
