So far, the area north of Thandwe airport has little development. What resorts there are, are spaced far enough apart to not really be a bother to the others. The long stretch of beach here will probably be all yours, or shared with some lazy dogs. Don't expect much in the way of restaurants/bars on the beach, but the tranquility of it all is nice.
