Visited here in Oct 2019. You wont get a Kayah traditional food here. This is what we call Chinese style restaurant. The tastes are good.

The only decent restaurant in town (updated July 2019 - there's another restaurant as part of the hotel just next door) but also it has great Kayah and Kayan styled dishes and above all, the outrageous views of rugged hills with a serene natural lake in the foreground. There's a bar in the at the ground floor but it doesn't seems to be functional at all. The main restaurant and the dining is on the first floor via a steep flight of stairs but worth a climb. There's no food to surprise you but dishes cooked in traditional style are recommended to try out. The location is isolated from the town and a bit tricky to follow the dirt trails. It is the place for the lunch and late afternoons drink.

Marcopolo Restaurant is good place for lunch. And, you can order Kayar traditional foods. You can see beautiful scenery of Kayar mountain range.
