Gorgeous beach that's limited to a few people at a time. It feels like you can almost walk on water all the way into the ocean. Just peaceful and tranquil.

Amazing beach, not many people, the water gets up to your knees and no more, so very safe! One of the best beaches I've been to. There is a bus from La Paz center(50pesos per person) but runs every two hours, apparently. You can get an uber (140mxn) but be prepared to have to wait to order it as the drivers tend to cancel the trip for this prices (I don't understnd why would they prefer to wait and not get pid instead of getting paid even not that much but still earning). During pandemic now there limited occupancy on the beach (120 or 150 per day), but we managed to get there around 12pm - we walked from the entrance from the main road where the checkpoint was so not to wait until they let the other cars enter). It was around 10min walk only.

one of the top 3 beaches in Mexico, due to covid access is limited to 120 every day, you have to come early and be in the line around 630 am, after that you can bribe the guys in the "entrance" jejeje if you are lucky they will let you in, but if the police is there go somewhere else. im writing this review on december 28th 2020 and i dont know if due to the moon or the winter, around 12:30 pm (noon) the low tide will start and after 2 pm there will be no water in the entire beach!! keep that in mind. I came last year in august and that did not happend.

Balandra such a beautiful place to visit if you have a chance you've seen the reviews the. Videos the photos and yeah it's gorgeous just like in the vids and pictures. But during this pandemic things have changed so be aware that only around 200 more or less the number varies depending who you ask but around 200 seem to be the norm . You have to get there early by early y mean at the very least 7:00 A.M. Early to get in line. the officer in the entrance told us of people waiting since 3:00 A.M. in the morning (insane I know) so try to get there as early as possible so that you can also get one of the free palapas. Beautiful place if you can get in . If you can't get in you can go to tecolote beach or pichilingue or tesoro escondido not as nice but no bad either I would recommend the other two before you go to el tecolote since the Waves are a bit rough or rougher than balandra , tesoro escondido and pichilingue hope this helps good luck and enjoy.

This place is great! Awesome for kids. Instead of hiking over the hill to the nicer beach, we just walked (chest level water at high tide) around the point through the water. I highly recommend this place. You can walk really far out into the water. Kids had a blast. Bring what you need for the day, there was just a truck selling some snacks.
